Another thing we must always keep in mind are the differences in the way men versus women think. Any woman would read that and immediately know the answer was "Not well!" A man, with a more linear thinking process would be completely lost. Not only should you answer the question (and be concise), but don't assume your audience can make connections that are obvious to you. Well, your wife’s answer certainly was much more interesting.
